About

The goal of the game is to move the green square to the light gray one, simple right? The game has a unique rewind mechanic, you can rewind everything as it was at the start of the level, except one square, making the simple game much more interesting.

How to play

  • To move a square simply click on it, swipe to the direction you want to move it and release to button.
  • To rewind just click and hold on a square. Doing this will rewind every square to its starting position, except the on you selected.
  • The number on the squares show how many times can that square move.
  • An arrow on a square shows where you can move that square.
  • Blue squares cannot be rewinded.
  • Black squares are not movable.

Level editor

The game has a level editor, so you can make your own levels if mine aren't as good :D

If you want to create your own levels or play custom made ones, make sure you're using the desktop version, browsers doesn't support copy or paste.

Level editor controls

  • Left click to place the selected items.
  • Right click to remove the selected items.
  • Pencil tool: edit the amount of moves, left click to add, right click to subtract
  • Set where the squares can move with the four way arrow tool (didn't give the tool a name)

Full controller and keyboard support

The game fully supports keyboard input, xbox, playstation (I do not own a playstation 4 controller so it's not 100% working) and even joy-con controllers. Enjoy the full game experience with any input device you like.

Its a really good game!


The art is great and its fits with the theme of the game

The gameplay is a combination of easy fun and hard

The title could be better...

The controls are fine but could be a little more intuitive for mouse and keyboard (like using wasd keys to control a selected cube)

It would be nice to hear a sound effect when rewinding, like a big bass thingy

I don't know why but I was able to skip levels by spamming the next level button (maybe add a cooldown?)

I haven't tried the level editor but it seems fun

I might just be dumb but I cant find the difference between the undo button and the restart button

Overall I know its a jam game but I feel there are some things you could improve on (at least for mouse and keyboard),  Its a great game with a unique concept that I would enjoy seeing in the future!

Thank you for the suggestions. Some of the bugs were already reported at the submission page, and I'll try my best to fix every issue.

I was planning to add controller support, but I didn't think of keyboard support because you need to have a mouse for PC. but If I add controller support why not to add keyboard support.

I added the restart button because you can only undo your moves to the point of rewinding, so if you moved an unrewindable square to the wrong place and rewinded you cannot undo, only restart.

I played to level 10(broswer version) and here are my thoughts.

Positives

  • Pretty cool mechanics
  • The levels are not overly complicated(Good!)
  • Nice sound effects
  • The art style fits the game
  • I like the fact that you have a level editor(did not try it saw it by the pictures)

Negatives

  • None.I could not find any negatives but i do have some notes.

Notes

  • The of the game is too generic.You should find a better suited title so it sticks out of the crowd.
  • The undo button does not register a click if the image is not clicked which may be tedious at times.
  • The rewind is not very fun to play around with.So maybe you could spice it up a little bit.Example: particles.
  • While all the versions are 0.1.2 the Android one is 0.1.3 does it have more features?It is odd.

Conclusion

It is a very good game that feels polished for a game jam.The level editor is a pretty nice addition considering that this is a game jam game.Overall it is a nice game with potential.Wish you the best of lucks.

  • Yeah, the title isn't the best, but I like it.
  • The undo button should work even if you click on the button, I'll fix that in the next version. 
  • I agree with you, and I already added particle effects to the next version, which I will release once the jam is over.
  • The 0.1.3 version is just a bug fix in the level editor for touch input, nothing else.
